About us


The European Joint Doctorate in Molecular Animal Nutrition (MANNA) is a EU network whose mission is to provide a Double Doctorate level training programme, valid throughout all Europe, on innovative technologies applied to animal science and nutrition. MANNA will provide future research leaders with the capability to address the needs to improve livestock health, welfare and efficiency. The MANNA Joint Doctoral project is a Marie-Skłodowska Curie Innovative Training Network funded by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 Programme.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme H2020-MSCA- ITN-2017- EJD: Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Networks (European Joint Doctorate) – Grant agreement nº: 765423 – MANNA.

Start your admission path


Candidates can apply for up to three ESR projects.

Please for each project of interest, submit a new application.

Required documents include:

  1. A brief letter of motivation stating how the candidate background and qualifications match the project(s) being applied for
  2. A statement indicating that the candidate complies with the eligibility criteria for MRSCA-ITN admission
  3. A curriculum vitae
  4. A certificate of English proficiency (at the time of enrolment), may be required for those applicants whose first language is not English by certain Universities
  5. The official transcripts and marks achieved during both Bachelor and Master phases of previous degrees
  6. Two reference letters together with detailed contact information of the recommending persons
  7. Specific additional criteria if required by individual projects (please see the individual ESR project webpages)
